Edappal Hosptials Pvt. Ltd.
 In the year 1985, Dr. K. K. Gopinathan and his close aids decided to establish a hospital in the small town of Edappal, north Kerala. Having worked in the government service since 1974, he understood the growing demand for quality health care. Though the foundation stone was laid in 1986, his commitments to the government service delayed the project until it opened in January 1990.
With a humble beginning and limited number of 25 beds, it soon grew to be the landmark in the locality with having the most advanced medical technology and efficient doctors. Today, Edappal Hospital boasts of over 350 beds and numerous departments ranging from cardiology to dentistry. The hospital was the first to get an ISO certification in the district of Malappuram and has won several awards for pollution control from the Government of State of Kerala.
Under the guidance of Dr. Gopinathan, his department grew to be one of the largest in the state delivering over 400 babies every month. A team of over 15 gynecologists and the most advanced technology ensures one of the best patient care facilities in the country.
Post graduate courses
Edappal hospital has been an accredited centre for post graduate studies by the National Board of Examinations of India for DNB in OB&G since 1999. Every year we have at least 4 students all over the country to pursue post grad studies in the centre.
 We are one of the first FOGSI recognized advanced infertility training centres in south India also providing advanced laparoscopy and ultrasound training courses.
The institute is a common venue for several national and state level conferences. The most recent being the 15th Annual Conference of ISAR (INDIAN SOCIECTY OF ASSISTED REPRODUCTION) that took place in April 2010, a Kochi.
Nursing school
The growing demand for quality nursing services led us to set up our own school of nursing in the year 2000. Recognized by Indian Nursing Council and Kerala Nursing Council, it is one of the best centers in the state with 100% results.

The board of directors comprise of 5 members with Managing Director Mrs. Chitra Gopinathan has successfully steered this institution since the last 20 years.
